- Class 2/District 2 wrestling at Mexico High School

- With one more state qualifier than they had this time last year and five returning from 2011, Mexico High School wrestlers definitely will be strong on experience when they compete in the MSHSAA state meet again Thursday through Saturday at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia. Senior Josh Harlan, senior Monterio Burton, junior Jake Vitale, senior Sinjon Adams, freshman Hunter Smith, senior Dylan McClain and freshman Jayde Moran all made the top-four cut in Friday and Saturday’s Class 2/District 2 tournament at the MHS sports complex. Adams, Vitale, Burton and Harlan all placed first, Smith second plus Moran and McClain each fourth. Story is in the Sports section of this website
