    • Charlie Raynor delivers in snow, rain, all weather

    • Snow, rain or slick roadways won’t stop Charlie Raynor, Ledger carrier, from delivering papers to his customers. Raynor has built a super-modified bicycle to carry his papers. The man-powered vehicle is equipped with lights, blinkers, brakes and more. Mexico received 3 inches of snow Monday, the most one-day accumulation we’ve had this mild winter. The first snowfall in Mexico this winter was 2” on Dec. 6. Additional snowfall recorded in Mexico this winter: Jan. 11, 1”; Jan. 27, 1/2”; Feb. 7, trace; and Feb. 13, 3”. NOTE: A customer called this morning to report a “Valentine’s Day Love Story“ involving Raynor. On his route Monday, in the snow, Raynor came upon a ‘rather large’ dog – with no apparent street-smarts – in the street, dodging traffic. Raynor was concerned for the dog’s safety and knew the dog’s home was nearby, so he loaded the dog into his bicycle basket, held onto it, and drove it safely home to its owner.
