    • Mad Scientist Dangerous Dan visited Hawthorne and Eugene Field elementary summer schools on Friday to demonstrate magic tricks and scientific experiments. Dangerous Dan is a member of a group called Mad Science, a science enrichment provider with entertaining and educational hands-on science experiences for children. The scientist began his show with a magic trick involving a card trick, burning it in a pan and when the fire was out, the card was intact. “The difference between magic and science, is magic you don’t tell how it is done and scientific projects you tell how it works,” he explained to the children.
