- It may not be spring yet, but that didn’t stop local basketball players from shooting some hoops Wednesday afternoon. Sunny skies and 42 degrees were all they needed to lure them to the court. In contrast, although skies will be mostly sunny today, the temperature is expected to reach only 22 degrees. Tonight’s forecast is for a 30 percent chance of freezing drizzle and sleet, with a low around 19 degrees. The National Weather Service has issued the following Hazardous Weather Outlook statement for Ledgerland: A wintry mix of precipitation is possible tonight. While there is still uncertainty in the forecast, light snow, sleet or ice accumulations are possible on untreated surfaces. Freezing rain is likely Sunday across much of the area. There is also a chance for thunderstorms on Tuesday and Tuesday night.
