    • The Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce 2012 annual meeting and awards presentation event was held Saturday night at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Several residents were honored in various ways for their contributions to the community. Award winners were Barb Wilson, owner of Scrapbook Store and More, the E. Warner Williams Business Service Award; Jill Molli, G. Andy Runge Ambassador Award; Sara Given, Educator of the Year Award; Kelly Smith, Civic Award presented to Ameren Missouri; Jack Creason, President’s Award; Paul Baum WBIT, Excellence In Tourism; Robby Miller Col. C.R. Stribling Jr. Community Service Award; Ken Schmidt and Mike Holman, Civic Award, Ameren Missouri; and Dan Erdel, accepting the Philanthropic Achievement Award for the Ralph Roth Trust.
