Hannibal too much for MHS spikers

Points couldn’t have been much harder to come by Monday night for Mexico High School volleyball girls in their 8-25, 5-25 varsity loss to NCMC rival Hannibal.
“This was another tough game. We can’t go into this week playing so inconsistently,” MHS coach Rachel Leu said.
Kelsey Stephens recorded 10 digs and Sherrell Cooks 7 for the Lady Bulldogs, who will try againg for their first league victory today in another home date, their last, against Boonville.
Junior varsity action with Hannibal was much more closely contested with Mexico bowing 15-25, 21-25.
“Our JV team had a good match,” Leu noted. “They did an excellent job of playing as a team.”
For those Lady Bulldogs, Remi Greenwell totaled 1 kill and 7 assists, while Kiersten Vestal had 3 kills and 1 dig and Brooke Tessman 1 ace and 5 kills.
