Don Allen Spradlin, 25 of Mexico, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010 as a result of an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Arnold Funeral Home with Chris Harley officiating. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Auxvasse Cemetery.
Don was born Oct. 17, 1985 in Mexico, the son of Jerry Allen and Barbara Sue (Glasford) Spradlin.
Mr. Spradlin graduated from Mexico High School in 2004. He had worked at M and M Vehicle Corp., Zenith Aircraft, Brookstone and most recently at Walmart. He was a member of Southside Christian Church. Don loved dirt bike riding, outboard motors, fishing and hanging out with friends. He loved to make people laugh and you rarely saw him without a smile on his face.
Survivors include his parents, Jerry and Barbara Spradlin of Mexico; two sisters, Toni (Daren) Rose of Mexico and Patricia Spradlin of Mexico; one brother, Brandon Spradlin of Independence; one niece, Kaitlin Rose of Mexico; his girlfriend, Leslie Ellis of Fairview Heights, Ill.; honorary siblings, Chris and Melissa Harley of Kahoka; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Don was preceded in death by a sister, Kelley Dyan Spradlin and his grandparents, W.L. “Dub” and Frances Spradlin, Kathryn Glasford Wright and husband, Madison Wright, and Ray Glasford.
Memorials may be made to Southside Christian Church in memory of Don Spradlin for a scholarship to attend the Nationwide Youth Roundup (NYR). They may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
