  • Bob Trower, 62, of Vandalia, formerly of Perry dies

  • VANDALIA - Graveside services for Robert Wayne (Bob) Trower, 62, of Vandalia, formerly of Perry will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Vandalia Cemetery with Reverend Richard Sullivan officiating.
    Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Perry.
    Mr. Trower passed away at 12:37 a.m., September 10, 2012 at his home.
    He was born July 2, 1950 in Louisiana, the son of Randolph Douglas and Nancy Elizabeth Holcumbrink Trower.
    He was married to Faith Welch on November 17, 2007 in Vandalia and she survives.
    Other survivors include; six daughters, Angela Brown of San Antonio, Texas, Shawne Williams of Reno, Nevada, Carla (Butch) Haley of Auxvasse, Michelle Niemeyer of Columbia, Shelly (Travis) Carson of Mexico, Rachael (Paul) Baker of Vandalia; three sons, Robert Michael Trower of Palmyra, Michael John (Shannon) Dippold of Jefferson City, and Richard William Dippold of Vandalia; two brothers, Randy (Alice) Trower of Midwest City, OK, and Michael Douglas Trower of Mexico; one sister, Janet Hardin of Laddonia; sixteen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Bill Trower and an infant brother and sister.
    Mr. Trower was a lifetime area resident and a member of the Perry Christian Church. He was a truck driver for over 40 years for various companies including OTI for 16 years and Callaway Carriers for 13 years. He was a truck and tractor puller and won the 1987 and 1988 State Championship with his pulling truck "Steppin Out". He loved stock car racing, fishing, and spending time with his family.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Thompson Foundation for Autism, 2718 Forum Blvd., Suite 3A, Columbia, Mo. 65203.
    Pallbearers will be Gary Jerman, Buddy Eoff, Larry Smith, Gary Hodges, Dick Bloomfield, and Paul Wasson. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Belshe, Gene Seeley, Larry Holt, and Gene Lovelace.
