  • MARK TWAIN LAKE - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Mark Twain Lake would like to make the public aware of a lane closure that will be taking place this fall. The Tarlton Corporation will begin installing barriers and signs to close one lane of traffic on the Clarence Cannon Dam on Monday the 24th of September, 2012. A twelve foot wide single lane of traffic will remain open during maintenance repair work to the bridge structure. Traffic will be controlled by portable traffic lights located on each end of the dam. Both lanes of traffic are scheduled to reopen on October 18th, 2012. Clarence Cannon Dam is located on State Highway Route J, 12 miles south of Monroe City in Ralls County, Missouri. If you have any questions in regards to the status of the lane closure on Clarence Cannon Dam, contact the Mark Twain Lake Project Office at 573-735-4097, or by email at marktwaininfo@usace.army.mil.
