Becky Moos with Lake Media donated 15 inches of hair to Locks of Love. Donating hair is not a new thing for her. This marks her third time to cut her hair with Locks of Love in mind. Last time, she donated 17 inches.
In order for hair to qualify, it must be at least 10 inches and in a ponytail or braid before it is cut. The hair must be clean and completely dry before mailed in to the organization.
Hairsylist and owner of Capelli Salon and Spa in Camdenton, Emilie Fitzwater, is not a newcomer to this cause either. In her 22 years as a hair stylist, she said that she has cut someone's hair for donation countless times. When asked how it compares to an average, everyday haircut, she said, "It's not much different. It gives you a little more satisfaction, knowing you will be helping somebody."
