Janet Lynn (Becker) Penn, 48 of Kingdom City, died at 9:46 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Auxvasse Christian Church with Rev. Alan Bailey officiating. Visitation is from 1 p.m. Saturday until time of the service at the church.
Janet was born Sept. 28, 1964 in Poplar Bluff, MO, the daughter of William D. and Lillian F. (Fleigle) Becker. On Aug. 31, 2002 in Columbia, MO, she was united in marriage to Mark E. Penn.
Janet was a valued member of the management team for Hoss's Market in Columbia and owned Mild to Wild Acres in Kingdom City, MO with her husband Mark.
She was a lifetime member of Williamsville United Methodist Church in Williamsville, MO where she grew up. She enjoyed cooking, growing food, making jellies and jams and encouraging others to eat good food.
Survivors include her mother, Lillian Becker of Williamsville; her husband, Mark Penn of Kingdom City; their two cats; Barbe, and Que; Mark's daughter, Amy Lindemann and husband, Jason of Wentzville; two grandchildren, Alexis and Gavin Lindemann; one sister, Susan A. Becker and Robert Wilmsmeyer of Ashland; three brothers, David Becker and wife, Toni of Williamsville, Steven Becker and wife, Hope of Fayette and Kenneth Becker and wife, Julie of Poplar Bluff; seven nieces and nephews, Misty, Johnathan, Erika, Alison, Leslie, Luke and Connor Becker; and a host of loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends. She was preceded in death by her father, William D. Becker. Janet will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
