With the fall firearms deer season starting on Nov. 10, it's time to start thinking about deer again. Hunter education is needed of hunters born after Jan. 1, 1967 and for many hunters, no matter what age who are going to hunt out-of-state.
The class will be held this Friday and Saturday at the VFW Hall in Mexico. Friday's class will last from 6-9 p.m. On Saturday, the class will last from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., or whenever the class reaches its conclusion. The class is open to students who are 11 years of age or above and is free to the public. To register for the class, go to www.missouriconservation.com, then look for hunter education on the right side of the page. Anyone who does not have Internet access may call the Central Regional Office at (573) 815-7900.
