Ledgerland football teams in district play, Mexico soccer, Centralia players named to CCC all-conference football

Ledgerland teams in district play: Ledgerland still has three high school football teams in district tournament play. In Class 3/District 6, No. 2 seed Centralia plays No. 3 seed Boonville tonight. The winner of that game will play Monday for the Class 3/District 6 championship against the winner of tonight's No. 1 seed California vs. No. 5 seed Chillicothe matchup.
In Class 2/District, No. 3 seed North Cal-laway will play No. 2 seed South Callaway and No. 1 seed Blair Oaks will play No. 5 seed Montgomery County tonight. The winners will play Monday for the Class 2/District 6 championship.
SOCCER: The Mexico High School soccer team's season came to an end Tuesday night in the district semi-finals. The Bulldogs lost to top seed Hannibal 3-0.
"It's always disappointing when the season ends but only a few teams finish with a win," said MHS coach Chris Hotop. Hotop and assistant coach Jason Clow expressed their appreciation to the team's seniors Elijah Robinson, Sean Kelly, Cristian Vega, Gib Graham, Sergey Comerzan, Jose Hernandez and Mathias Whitworth for all they have done for the soccer program.
The Bulldogs finished the season with a 10-15 record.
FOOTBALL: Clarence Cannon Conference has named its all-conference football plays. Centralia had several players receiving the honor.

Quarterback – junior Zach Etzler, second team; running back – junior Cullen Ralphs, second team; receiver – senior Dixon Dollens *, first team, junior Chandler Blackwell, second team; tight end – junior Chandler Kover, honor mention; offensive lineman – senior A.J. Jerichow* first team, senior Zach Blakemore, second team; kicker – junior Chandler Kovar, second team; return specialist – junior Nate VanBoening, second team; defensive lineman – senior Blair Thall, first team, senior Jacob Hockman, honorable mention; inside linebacker – senior Austin Kinkead, first team; outside linebacker/defensive end – senior Jesse Arnold, first team, junior Tyler Spurling, second team; and defensive back – junior Gannon Peavler, first team.
