Saturday in Jefferson City

Ten Mexico High School cross country runners will travel to Jefferson City Saturday to participate in the State Cross Country Championship meet.
The MHS boys who took first in the Class 3 District competition held last Saturday will be sending seven players, and the girls will be sending three individuals who medaled at Saturday's competition.
Boys running Saturday include two freshmen Jordan Jones and Malik Holman. Holman has been Mexico's top runner all season. Also running for MHS will be seniors Jake Vitale, juniors Alex Shaw, Sam Fayad and Haden Hobbs, and sophomore Raven Twenter.
Runners on the girls side of the race will be sophomore Maddie Prince, who has been the girls top runner all season. Joining her will be juniors Jami Brandow and Zori Holman.
The race will take place at Oak Hills Golf Course. The girls will run at 9 a.m., followed by the boys at 10.
