Claude D. Peck, 79, of Mexico, Mo., formerly of Centralia, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at First Christian Church in Mexico.
Claude was born Aug. 2, 1933 in Rowena, Mo., the son of Hugh and Ida Sharp Peck and they preceded him in death. He married Garnet Seiler Oct. 27, 1953 in Sturgeon, Mo., and she survives.
Mr. Peck worked as an automotive and diesel mechanic for over 46 years. He had many loyal BMW customers who traveled from St. Louis and Kansas City to have him work on their motorcycles. He served from 1953-1955 in the United States Army and later in the National Guard. Claude really enjoyed "fixing" things, motorcycles, plumbing or construction projects, etc. He also enjoyed have his dog, "Buddy" by his side.
Survivors include three sons: Greg (Nicole), Larry (Carolyn), and Billy Peck. One Daughter: Jane (Quinn) Cuno. Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and one great-grandson.
