Camellia E. "Pud" Turner, 84, of Mexico, formerly of Raytown, passed away Thursday, November 1st, 2012 at Golden Living Center-Pin Oaks.
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon at Arnold Funeral Home, on Friday, November 9th, with Rev. Karl Thomas and Rev. Roger D. Jackson officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home Friday. Burial will follow the service at Elmwood Cemetery.
Camellia was born in Tebbitts, Missouri on July 29, 1928, a daughter of the late Maggie Lillian (Sydney) and Charles Arnett Hord.
Camellia was a wonderful cook; cooking was her passion. She was a loving sister and aunt. Pud was also a foster parent.
She married Fred Turner on December 22, 1972, and he preceded her in death on April 7, 1981.
Camellia is survived by a sister, Margaret Hord, of Mexico; nieces and nephews, Cassandra Hord, Robin Flowers, Alvis Hord, Margeaux Holmes, Darren Hord, Juan Hord, Sherdell Hord, numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins;
Camellia was preceded in death by her husband Fred, a son, Donald Eugene Roland, and three sisters.
