James Marion Love, 93 of Mexico, passed away at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at Golden Living Center - Pin Oaks.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Stanford officiating. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
James Marion was born Jan. 8, 1919 in Williamsburg, the son of Samuel M. and Mary (Lampton) Love. On Jan. 8, 1942 in Mexico, he married Bessie M. Penn. She died on June 9, 1999.
Mr. Love was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was an electrician for 76 years and had been a member of the Moose Lodge. He loved hunting and being a musician in a band. Mr. Love was a great storyteller and loved his family.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Clardy of Fulton and Marilyn Boyce and husband, Gary of Mexico; three grandchildren, Peggy Ancell and husband, Lynn of Moberly, Dean Wilson and wife, Krista of Centralia and James Wilson and wife, Nicole of Mexico; and six great-grandchildren, Kara, Ehran and Renee Schooler, Madeline and Ava Wilson, and Cole Wilson.
In addition to his wife, James Marion was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James E. Love; an infant brother and a half-brother, Lloyd Bradley.
