Homer Gray, 85 of Paris, passed away on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 at a Columbia hospital.
Mr. Gray was born on Sept. 4, 1927 in Paris, Mo., the son of Harvey Harlan and Flossie Sheerman Gray. He married Ruthie Hempstead on Jan. 27, 1951. He is survived by his children, Judy (Gary) McCurren of St. Peters, Mo., Mike (Kay) Gray of Paris, Mo., Dottie (Bill) Arnett of Paris, Mo. and Ron Gray of Grape View Wash.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Kevin Arnett; infant sister, Dorothy Gray; one brother, Harris Gray; and one daughter-in-law, Janice Gray.
Mr. Gray lived and farmed all of his life in Monroe County. He was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church and a former member of Monroe County Saddle Club. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the VFW and American Legion Post No. 221.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Agnew Funeral Home in Paris with Reverend Don Campbell officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Grove.
