James Edward Lepinski, 60 of Mexico received his Angel Wings on November 28, 2012 at the University Hopital in Columbia, from complications after heart surgery.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Hopkins officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Jim was born in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin the 13th child of John and Frances Lepinski.
He was a 1971 graduate of The Dalles High School in The Dalles, OR.
He served in the US Navy from 1971-1974.
Jim was involved in aviation his entire adult life. He was a licensed A&P, I A and Pilot. Jim was a very respected mechanic and loved to share his knowledge. He was currently serving on the Mexico Airport Board.
Jim is survived by his wife Jo Anne Lepinski of the home; his mother-in-law, Josephine Lipp of Mexico; daughter Debbie (Alton) Morgan; son, Nicholas (Rachel) Lepinski; step-sons, Scott and Ken Conley; grandchildren, Andrew, Alec, Abby, Peighton, and Imilie, a step-grandson, Paolo all are of Florida; sisters, Joyce of Florida, Alice and JJ of the state of Washington, Mary of Oregon, Angie of Wisconsin; brothers, Bernie of Wisconsin, Paul, Tom and Bob all of Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Norbert, and Bill; sisters, Anges, and Rosie.
The family suggests memorial donations be made in Jim's Memory to the American Heart Association in care of Arnold Funeral Home 425 S. Jefferson Mexico, MO 65265.
He will forever Soar with the Eagles. We will miss and love him forever.
