The Mexico Bulldogs were defeated Thursday by the Lausanne Colegiate from Memphis, Tenn., 65-48 in a non-conference game in the Machens Great Eight Classic in Jefferson City. The Bulldogs were outscored 20-11 in the first quarter and trailed at the half 36-25. The Bulldogs had a great third quarter outscoring Lausanne 15-4 and cut the game down to 6 points but could not finish the game and were defeated 65-48.
Jake Willer led the Bulldogs in scoring with 14 points, Jake Anderson added 13 points, Cole Jaramillo 9, Jon Anderson 8, Matt Ridgway and Jaeon Nunnelly 2 points each. The Bulldogs, 8-1 overall and 3-0 conference, will play Columbia Rock Bridge today at 5:30 p.m. in the consolation semi-final.

Mexico High School Lady Bulldogs lost to St. Joe Bentonville 52-34 Thursday in the State Farm Holiday Tournament.
The Lady Dawgs kept the game close in the first half and the third quarter. The score at halftime was 21-18 in favor of Bentonville. The end of the third quarter, Mexico was down by 6 with a score of 39-32. The fourth quarter was Mexico's downfall when they scored only 2 points.
Brooke Costley led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points. Anne Baker and Alison Mudd had 7P each.
Mexico returns to action today at 2:30 p.m. when they play Louisville Male.
