Takes over daily operations of newspaper

Martin Keller, the advertising director at The Mexico Ledger, has been named general manager. He replaces Joe May who is retiring as publisher today.
Keller began work at The Ledger in 1983 as an advertising salesman. He then was ad manager at the Centralia Fireside Guard for three years before returning to The Ledger as advertising manager.
"I am excited about this next step," he said. "I am looking forward to carrying on the traditions of The Ledger. I believe the community supports The Ledger, and that Mexico is a good place to raise a family. The support for causes such as the YMCA, food drives, the historical society and Presser Performing Arts is amazing."
Keller grew up in Farber, and is a graduate of Van-Far High School and Central Missouri State University with a Bachelors Degree in Commercial Art.
He and his wife Dana have two daughters, Lauren, who is a student at the University of Missouri School of Law, and Gabrielle, who is a senior at Mexico High School.
