"The new County Court met Monday to transact routine business. The two new Judges, Charles Bledsoe, of the Western District, and J. W. Beagles, of the Eastern District, were sworn in and proceeded with the business just like old timers. Audrain County has a splendid court, men who are interested in the growth and prosperity of the county, and men who are acquainted with business affairs, who will give us an efficient administration."

"The board of directors of the Security Bank of Auxvasse voted recently to call a special meeting of the stockholders Feb. 18, to vote on a proposal for increasing the capital stock of the bank from $25,000 to $50,000 by stock dividend; by issuing 250 shares of such stock. This will constitute a stock split of one share for each share held by the stockholder."

"A total of $401,819.57 was collected in child support payments in Audrain County during 1987, exceeding the 1986 collections by $126,872.37. Collection of such funds is made by the child support division in the office of Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney Thomas I. Osborne, Alyson Wilson is child support administration. There has been an increase of $173,401.31 in Audrain County child support collections since 1985."

"New Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney Jason Lamb announced Monday the appointment of Mary Patrick Seigfreid as interim assistant prosecuting attorney. 'I am excited about the opportunity to serve the county. I'm ready to dive right in there and go to work,' said Seigfreid, who was sworn in by County Clerk Shelley Harvey early Monday and started work the same day. Seigfreid is a partner at Seigfreid Law Firm L.L.C. which she formed with her husband Paul in 1996. Both Lamb, who has worked at Seigfreid Law Firm since 2000, and Mary Seigfreid plan on continuing to work for the private practice in their free time."
