William Lucas hospitalized, listed in fair condition

At approximately 5:06 p.m. Saturday, the Mexico Public Safety Department responded to the area of Highway 15 (North Western Street) near Pearson in reference to a pedestrian who was hit by a car.
Responding personnel found that William Lucas, 39, of Mexico, had attempted to cross Highway 15 on foot when he was struck by a 1996 Ford truck driven northbound by Mary Treat, 54, of Paris. Lucas was transported to AMC by Audrain Ambulance District and was later flown to University Hospital where he is currently admitted and listed as being in fair condition, according to the MPSD.
