The Mexico girls defeated the Hannibal girls last year and the visitors are coming for revenge. McMillan has a strong congregation and if the Hannibal girls are as good as they claim to be, there will be a mighty good game. The lineup for McMillan has not yet been decided."

"Foundations for 32 dwelling buildings (including 72 housing units) and the community building and Housing Authority management building have been poured in the Garfield Heights subdivision. Only one more building remains to be started in the second phase of the public housing project here, Director L.A. Daughtery said. Floors have been poured in 10 buildings (20 units) and prefabricated superstructures will go up as weather permits, Daughtery said. He said the weatherman had been cooperative so far and the project is proceeding on schedule. The entire project is scheduled for completion by Aug. 12 but Daughtery said it is hoped that the community building and the management offices will be finished before that time."
