James A. Trisler, 84, of Auxvasse, MO. peacefully passed away at his home January 6, 2013. James, better known as 'Jim' was born in St. Louis, MO January 2, 1929, the son of James and Myrtle (Laemmel) Trisler.
He is survived by his wife Donna (Cashion) Trisler of Auxvasse, seven children, James K. Trisler of Mexico, MO; Annette L. Trisler of Auxvasse, MO; Jeffrey D. Trisler (Shelly) of Williamsburg, MO; Monte E. Trisler (Mary) of Jefferson City, MO; Janette B. Helton (Brad) of Kirksville, MO; Eric N. Trisler (Tina) of Jerseyville, IL; Wade W. Trisler (Robin) of Fulton, MO; 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son John E. Trisler, and one grandson.
Jim was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Germany as a military policeman from 1951-1953. His occupations include farming and farm repair, he worked as a welder/pipe-fitter and was a member of Local Pipefitters Union 669 of Baltimore, MD until his retirement in 1991. He and his wife owned and operated
D & J House of Tools and welding shop in Auxvasse since 1978 until its closing in November, 2012.
Per Jim's request no memorial services will be forthcoming. He will be very much missed by his family and friends. Those wishing to honor his memory can make a contribution in his name to the American Heart Association.
