Kyle Whanger competed in the Blue-Gray Heartland Combine, Missouri Western University (Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp) on April 28, 2012 in St. Joseph. He competed in drills consisting of the 40-yard dash, shuttle run, vertical jump, standing broad jump and bench press.
These test results earned him a spot on the South squad at the Blue-Gray National All Star Classic in Tampa Bay, Fla., to be held Saturday. He was one of 90 senior recruits selected from more than 4,200 players. The game features top senior recruits who competed in regional combines at various NFL stadiums or training sites across the country.
Saturday's game will be played at 8 p.m. at Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Prior to the game there will be two days of practice. Friday night will be media night for players and parents.
