CENTRALIA GIRLS: The Centralia Lady Panthers outscored the Harrisburg Lady Bulldogs in every quarter but the fourth in Tuesday's basketball game. Centralia prevailed 58-40. Krista Armontrout led the Lady Panthers with 20 points, 14 rebounds, and two blocks. Kaitlyn Vanmaanen also reached double-figures with 10 points, Vanmaanen brought down 8 rebounds and had one steal and 2 assists. Whitney Noonan and Kaitlyn Vanmaanen each scored 7 points. Kailee Chitwood and Katie Crigler each scored a basket from 3-point range.

NORTH CALLAWAY BOYS: The North Callaway Thunderbirds lost 60-55 in overtime to Fulton Tuesday night in Columbia.
This is the third overtime game for the North Callaway varsity boys and the second straight overtime game for Fulton. Fulton won both their overtime games. For North Callaway, Jacob Haubner scored 15 points; Justin Murphy scored 14 points and led the team with 8 rebounds.
FULTON: 13-13-17-8-9
NORTH CALLAWAY: 10-20-13-8-4
In the junior varsity game North Callaway beat Fulton 49-23. Steven Coleman scored 16 points for North Callaway. Their record is 8-3.
The junior varsity boys and girls teams play Monday night at home against Southern Boone.
NORTH CALLAWAY GIRLS: The Ladybirds won against Southern Boone 62-45 Wednesday night in a makeup game. Elaine Brinker, NorCal's second leading scorer twisted her knee with 4 minutes to go in the third quarter. Up to that point she had 9 points and 9 steals, but sat the remainder of the game on the bench. It is undetermined if she will be able to play Monday in the Southern Boone Tournament.
For North Callaway Jaida Gray led all players with 22 points, with three 3-pointers. She also had 6 assists. Maddie Sorrell scored 21 and led the team with 8 rebounds.
For Southern Boone Brittani Batye led with 17 points.
"It was an ugly game, but the girls did things they needed to do to win by a decent margin," stated NorCal Coach Jack Peace.
North Callaway is 12-5 overall.
NORTH CALLAWAY: 23-12-9-18
NORTH CALLAWAY BOYS: The Thunderbirds also played Southern Boone in a makeup game with the outcome going to Southern Boone by a scored of 66-60.
North Callaway led at halftime and had a 5 point lead early in the third quarter. With 2 minutes left in the game, North Callaway was down by 12 and coach Tim Turlington used all 5 of his timeouts. With 1:27 left in the game the Thunderbirds cut the lead to 4, but Southern Boone hit their free throws, making the difference in the game.
"The boys played a lot better than the night before and put themselves in a position to win. That is all you can expect from a team," said Turlington.
All-stater Nick Carlos from Southern Boone scored 26 points with 22 of those coming in the second half. He was also 14-15 from the free throw line.
For North Callaway Justin Murphy scored 21 points with 4 3-pointers and 7 rebounds. Vance Allen scored 14 points.
North Callaway's record is now 11-5.
SOUTHERN BOONE: 15-6-21-24
NORTH CALLAWAY: 12-11-12-15.
COMMUNITY R-6 BOYS: The Trojan basketball team improved its record to 12-3 when they defeated Westran 63-42 in the Sturgeon tournament.
Clay Thebeau led the Trojans with 16 points, Sean Wilson scored 14, Conner Brooks added 9 points; Justin Durham scored 7, Lane Thebeau scored 6, Cameron Foreman scored 4, Tyler Mays and Shane Myers had 2 points.
Durham, Brooks and Foreman each scored a basket from three-point range. Durham led the team with 8 rebounds, followed by Wilson with 6. Lane Thebeau led the team in assists with 6 while Durham had 3. Myers and Clay Thebeau each had 2 steals.
