Arrested for distribution of methamphetamine

During the late evening hours of Thursday, Jan. 24, the East Central Drug Task Force assisted by the Northeast Missouri Drug Task Force, the Vandalia Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Audrain County Sheriff's Office served two search warrants in the city of Vandalia.
The first warrant served was in the 400 block of West Bland where officers arrested one man and seized ½ ounce of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, $640 in cash, 4 rifles and one handgun.
Arrested was Timothy James Scott, 31, of Vandalia, for distribution of methamphetamine. Scott remains in jail without bond.
The second search warrant was served in the 700 block of West Paige where officers seized 4 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia; arrests are pending. The search warrants were the result of an investigation conducted by both drug task forces.
The East Central Drug Task Force was organized in 2001 and serves the cities of Bowling Green, Mexico, Montgomery City, and Vandalia, the counties of Audrain, Montgomery and Warren, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
