Anthony L. "Tony" Burdick, 41, Blue Springs, MO, formerly of Mexico, MO, passed away suddenly January 25, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St., Blue Springs, MO, 816-229-3276. Funeral Services for Tony will be 10am, Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow services in Lobb Cemetery, Independence, MO. Tony was born May 14, 1971 in Mexico, MO to Chester and Gaylia (Luckaman) Burdick. After graduating from Mexico Senior High School, Tony obtained his Associates Degree in Electronics from Devry University. He was employed by Dow Kokam as a Lead Test Engineer. He enjoyed all things outdoors, Pittsburgh Steelers Football, BBQ, and was known for his ability to fix anything. Tony attended of Blue Springs Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gaylia.
Tony is survived by his wife, Joyce; sons, Kyle and Matthew Burdick of the home and Marcus Burdick of Palm Bay FL; father, Chester Burdick (Diana) of Versailles, MO; sister, Michelle Johnston (Brian) of Jonesburg, MO; brother, Brad Burdick of Enid OK; nephew, Lucas Folta and grandmother, Patsy Luckaman of Mexico, MO.
