PARIS BOYS: The Coyotes played one of their best games all year Tuesday against Marion County, according to PHS Coach Wade Billington. "The boys came out ready to go from the start," said their coach. They executed offensively extremely well in the first half and went into the locker room at half time down by one. Defensively they struggled early in locating their shooters and gave up some uncontested threes that came back to hurt them late in the ballgame. "We continued to exchange buckets through the third quarter and missed some easy buckets at the end of the quarter that allowed Marion to go up eight on us. In the fourth we ran out of steam and they were able to pull away late. All-in-all it was a strong performance and we need to build off it," said the coach.
Brant Francis led the Coyotes with 22 points, followed by Kyle Popkes, Zane Lockhart and Mike Ensor with 8 each. Slater Stone and Lockart led in rebounds with 8. Lane Forrest had 6 assists, while Popkes had 5.
The Coyotes are 3-16 over all and 1-4 in conference.
