COMMUNITY R-6 GIRLS: Community R-6 coach Bob Curtis understands why the Silex Lady Owls have compiled a record of 22-1 this season and are ranked No. 1 in the state in Class 2. "They have multiple weapons as anyone in their starting lineup can lead them in scoring on a given night. I thought we did a nice job on all-stater Natalie Fleming holding her to 11 points which is half of her average point total per game for the season. Unfortunately the Millers (Aly and Leah) combined for 30 in the contest," said the R-6 coach.
For R-6 Emmalee McCoskey had another monster night scoring 17 points and pulling down 8 rebounds in the 65-38 loss. She has 39 points and 20 rebounds in the last two conference games. "I really like how she has played in the last two weeks," said her coach. Paige Curtis scored 6 for R-6, Paige Harris, had 5 points, Danielle Brooks and Amelia Knipfel, 4 points each and Sam Jackson scored 2.
The Lady Trojans are 13-7 overall and 5-2 in conference.
