Deborah Ann Whitehead, 59, of Mexico, died at 4:00 a.m., Sunday, February 10, 2013, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.
Family will receive friends from 4 – 6 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Steinman Banquet Hall with a Celebration of Life at 6 p.m., with Joe Jones officiating.
Deborah was born August 9, 1953 in Mexico; a daughter of David H. and Dorothy Ellen (Prior) Whitehead.
She had been a waitress at Stacy's Place and the Centralia Country Club. She was a member of the West Cuivre Baptist Church in Laddonia. She graduated from Mexico High School. Deborah was an avid antique collector. She loved going to thrift stores to see what treasures she could find. Deborah also truly loved spending time with her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She could be just as silly as them. She also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and just being in the woods. Deborah had many friends and was loved by many. She truly loved the Lord and told everyone she could about him.
Survivors include her mother, Dorothy of Mexico; one son, Nathanial Andreucci of Mexico; two daughters, Kristina Wescott and husband Wade of the State of Maine, and Sarah Bradley and husband Matt of Rush Hill; four sisters, Brenda Peak, Patty Jones, Jackie Tate and Angie Whitehead all of Mexico; and eight grandchildren, Amber Wescott and Dylan Wescott of Maine, Tyler Bradley, Savanna Bradley, Jakob Bradley, Wyatt Bradley, all of Rush Hill and Bella Andreucci of Florence, S.C.
She was preceded in death by her father David H. Whitehead; one brother, David R. Whitehead; and one granddaughter Brittany Wescott.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65256.
