North Callaway, Community R-6, Centralia basketball reports
NORTH CALLAWAY GIRLS: In a conference game Monday night against Wright City Maddie Sorrell scored 19 points and led with 9 rebounds to help the Ladybirds win 52-26.
"We took control of the game early and used a lot of players for quality playing time," said NorCal Coach Jack Peace.
In addition to Sorrell, Jaida Gray hit double figures with 16 points. Tara Oberlag scored 9 points, while Kelsey Coil scored 6 points and led the team with 6 assists.
The Thunderbirds, 14-8 overall and 5-3 in EMO conference, play Thursday at home against South Callaway.

JUNIOR VARSITY: The North Callaway JV team won against Wright City JV 19-13 in two quarters. Skylar Smock and Katerina Roesner each scored 4 points for NorCal, whose record is 4-14 on the season.
COMMUNITY R-6 BOYS: The Trojans had three players in double figures Monday night at Montgomery County. Lane Thebeau scored 13 points, Sean Wilson scored 12 and Justin Durham put in 10 points in the 57-43 victory over the Wildcats. Clay Thebeau and Conner Brooks had 9 points each. Lane Thebeau, Brooks and Wilson each made a basket from 3-point range. Durham pulled down 7 rebounds, while Wilson had 6 rebounds. Wilson also led in assists with 6 and steals with 3. The Thebeau brothers had 3 assists each.
The Trojans are 17-5 overall and 6-2 in conference play.
COMMUNITY R-6 GIRLS: The Lady Trojans were host to New Bloomfield on Monday night with the outcome in the favor of the visiting team 50-29. Paige Curtis was the only Lady Trojan in double figures with 13. Emmalee McCoskey scored 9 points. McCoskey pulled down 7 rebounds and Curtis brought down 6.
The Lady Trojans are 13-8 over and 5-2 in conference.
JUNIOR VARSITY: The Junior Varsity team played two quarters and won 17-14. For R-6 Ashley Steele scored 10 points and Rebecca Hagan had 1 point.
The JV record is 6-4.
CENTRALIA GIRLS: The Lady Panthers did not take long to put away the Louisiana Lady Bulldogs Tuesday night outscoring them 16-3 in the first quarter and going on to win 45-21. The win increased the Lady Panthers record to 14-9 overall. They are 6-2 in conference.
For Centralia Krista Armontrout led the team in scoring with 11 points, followed closely by Kaitlyn Vanmaanen with 10. Leading the team in rebounds were Kaitlyn Vanmaanen with 8 and Katie Crigler with 7. Meredith Vanmaanen and Kayla Wilkerson came up with 3 assists apiece. The Lady Panthers came up with 11 steals and 35 rebounds as a team.
