  • COMMUNITY R-6 BOYS
    In Class 1, District 9 competition, the Trojans advance as they defeated Calvary Lutheran Monday night 48 to 29.
    Justin Durham led the Trojans with 12 points, followed by Lane Thebae with 11. Lane Thebeau and had 2 baskets from 3-point lane and Conner Brooks had 1. Clay Thebeau led the game in assists with 6, following by Wilson and Shane Myers with 3 each. Wilson also led in steals with 3.
    The Trojans are now 20-5 on the season and will play for the championship on Saturday against the winner of the Glasgow, Prairie Home game.
    PARIS BOYS
    The Coyotes ended their season Tuesday night when they were defeated in a Class 2 District 5 game against South Shelby 66-35 in Louisiana.
    Britton Francis led the Coyotes with 7 points. Jon Turner scored 6, Zane Lockhart and Quin Bartels each scored 5 points, Brant Francis, Kyle Popkes put in 4 points, Laine Forrest and Bryce Ensor each scored 2 points.
    The Coyotes ended their season 3-22.
    SCORE BY QUARTERS:
    Paris: 9-4-4-18
    South Shelby: 19-20-21-6.
    NORTH CALLAWAY BOYS
    The Thunderbirds advance in the Class 3 District 6 tournament at home Tuesday when they defeated Hermann 58-41. "It was an ugly win, but at this time of year any win is a good win," said NorCal Coach Tim Turlington.
    North Callaway had three players in double figures. Jacob Haubner got his first double double of the year with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Vance Allen scored 13 points, while Zac Eads added 12 points for the win. Hermann also had 3 players in double figures. Craig Winkelman scored 15, Colin Hart, 12 and Matthew Hug, 11.
    The Thunderbirds play again at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
    SCORE BY QUARTERS:
    Hermann: 20-9-3-19
    North Callaway: 8-20-15-14.
    In the other games in the tournament, Christian beat South Callaway 81-44.
    MONTGOMERY COUNTY
    Montgomery County R-2 beat Wright City 58-41. Montgomery had three players in double figures. Cameron Parish scored 17 points, Jerad Jordan, 14 and Justin Hall, 12 points. For Wright City, Cody Klemp scored 14 point.
