Everett J. Maylee, 77 of Mexico, formerly of Mineola, passed away at 8:55 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at his home.
A private memorial service for his family will be held at a later date.
Everett was born July 19, 1935 in Ulman, the son of Everett and Marcella (Brown) Maylee. On March 10, 1954 in Mexico, he married Peggy J. Schmidt.
Mr. Maylee was a welder for Binkley Company in Warrenton and a farmer. He enjoyed fishing, farming and loved country and bluegrass music.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy of the home; his children, Melody Eisenhauer of Warrenton, Sherry (John) Harrison of Mexico, Lyna (Steve) Devlin of Montgomery City, Tracy (Cecil) Helferstay of Wellsville, Jimmy (Robin) Maylee of Wellsville, Jeff (Teresa) Maylee of Mineola, and Daniel (Amanda) Maylee of Montgomery City; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lucy Robinett of Sunrise Beach.
Everett was preceded in death by three infant triplet brothers; two sisters, Jeanette Clark and infant Dorothy Maylee; four half-brothers and one half-sister.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Audrain City-County Health Hospice. Both may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
