"At the earliest date possible, following March 5, E.W. Rusk, the Audrain County Farm Advisor, will come to Mexico and assist in organizing The Audrain County Farm Bureau. The date will be announced as soon as the Agricultural committee of the Commercial Club meets and decides upon it."

"The petitions of six couples to intervene as defendants in the Mexico suit for declaratory judgment for annexation of land were argued in Audrain Circuit Court yesterday. The court took the matter under advisement. The intervenors are Mr. and Mrs. Bradford Brett, Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Elliott Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Warren O. McIntyre, Mr. and Mrs. Hal F. Randolph, Mr. and Mrs. John Small and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weigel. They petitioned to intervene as defendants and filed answers opposing Mexico's annexation. Their property lies in the area proposed for annexation."

"Martinsburg Bank has received preliminary approval from the Missouri Division of Finance to relocate its main office to 400 S. Muldrow in Mexico, according to Robert G. Bachmann, bank president. The bank has also applied to open a temporary bank office in the former Gallaher-Tangora Insurance Agency at 420 W. Monroe. Mr. Bachmann said the temporary office will be opened as soon as final approval is received and will be managed by John R. Cline, executive vice president of the bank. Mr. Cline said the bank will be able to offer complete banking service to the public, including all types of deposits, agricultural, commercial, real estate and consumer loans."

"The Mexico Senior High School faculty has announced the Students of the Month for February. They are seniors Lindsey Boswell and Chris Stembridge. Boswell, 17, is the daughter of Ron and Sharon Boswell. Stembridge, 18, is the son of Gary and Lorraine Allen. Students are nominated and selected by the faculty."
