Gary L. Sendelweck, 54 of Mexico, passed away at 9:07 a.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Arnold Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Thieme officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Littleby Methodist Cemetery.
Gary was born April 15, 1958 in Jasper, Indiana, the son of Fredrick and Mildred (Underwood) Sendelweck.
Mr. Sendelweck graduated from Mexico High School in 1976 and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
Gary was a wonderful family man and family was very important to him. He spent his life doing what he loved and that was farming. He found a love for tractor pulling at age 8 and it continued until his death. His love for tractor pulling was passed on down to his son. Gary enjoyed life and his infectious laugh is what people will mostly remember.
Survivors include one son, Scott Sendelweck of Columbia; one sister, Gayle Harrell and husband, John of Johnsonville, Ind.; his fiancée, Susan Klick of Jefferson City; one niece; one nephew; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Charles Sendelweck.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Compassus or the Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Columbia. Both may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
