Carl E. Jackson, 87 of Mexico, died February 14, 2013, at Golden Living Center/Pin Oaks in Mexico.
Friends and family may gather to celebrate his life on Sunday, March 10, from 2 -4 p.m. at the Clark Christian Life Center at the First Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Art Menard will officiate.
He was born, March 19, 1925 in Kaskasia, Illinois to Marcus and Nellie (Yochum) Jackson. On August 15, 1953 in Brookfield, MO he married Virginia Mae Jackson who preceded him in death on December 4, 2001.
Survivors include his daughter Karen Martin and step-son Lee Martin both of Mexico; two sisters, Fern Thomure and Juanita Haught both of Hannibal; and one granddaughter Patti Frye; two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by four brothers Ralph, Johnny, Mark and Clifford; and one sister, Kathleen.
Carl's career included route, sales, and management positions with various companies. These included dairy, and propane plants, and also some well- known petroleum companies. His last employment was with the Department of Corrections in Moberly.
