Raymond Everett Strack, 94 of New Florence, died March 21, 2013 at New Florence Care Center.
Funeral services were held today at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Jonesburg. Burial was in Jonesburg City Cemetery, Jonesburg. Visitation was held Sunday, March 24, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, Jonesburg and this morning from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Jonesburg.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Strack of New Florence, daughter, Mildred (Derrill) Ballenger of Alexandria, Va., daughter, Juanita (John) Tesluk of Attica, Mich., daughter, Dorothy (Bill) Burchett of Highlands Ranch, Colo., daughter, Evelyn Strack of Marthasville, Mo., seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Everette L. Strack, mother, Elsie B. Strack, brother, Herbert Strack.
Mr. Strack was a farmer. He was married for 71 years to Vera E. Strack nee Wiss.
He was a Life Member of Jonesburg Historical Society, member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jonesburg, owner of a Century Farm, school bus driver for 20 years awarded safe driver award, past Sunday school superintendent, and served on the church board of finance.
