William Franklin "Frank" Harbison, 82 of Mexico, died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at his home in Mexico.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Wellsville Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday evening from 5-7 at the funeral home.
Frank was born on May 17, 1930 in Ironton, MO, the son of George and Ada (Pippin) Harbison. He first married to Alma Leist in 1954. After her death, he married Retha Whobrey on Jan. 27, 1998. She survives at the home.
Frank was in the telecommunications business, working for AT&T and government communications. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and had served in the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his wife Retha, he is also survived by three children, Frank Harbison and wife Renee of Indiana, Cindy Palozola and husband Fran of St. Louis and Phillip Harbison and wife Julie of Wright City, MO; two step-children, Danny Morris and wife Kimberly of Centralia, Donald Ray Morris of Mexico. He is also survived by a sister Betty Waltz and husband Jim of Springfield, MO; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his first wife, Alma, he was preceded in death by his parents, and a step-son Randall Morris.
