Mary M. Yardley, 94 of Mexico, died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at GLC-Pin Oaks.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home with Art Menard officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation is Tuesday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
Mary was born on April 6, 1918 in Stoddard County, the daughter of William Ira and Esta Dean (Elsworth) Stevenson. On Aug. 23, 1941 she married William N. Yardley in Kirksville, MO. Bill preceded her in death on April 9, 1996.
Mary worked in the cafeteria at Mexico High School for 20 years and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by three daughters, Suzanne Jackson, Barbara Davis and Loeta Long all of Mexico; 8 grandchildren, Carol Shelden, Richard Woolery, Mike Jackson, Missy Huddleston, Holly Hoagland & Jeff, all of Mexico, Christopher Stiegman of Cuba, MO, Jeremy Blacketer and Richard Long, Jr. of Mexico. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and her beloved pet Jackie.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Mark C. Shelden and Sgt. William L. Dean, three brothers and a sister.
