Report from April 1 match at Hannibal

The temperatures warmed up just in time Monday for the quadrangular golf match at Hannibal. Other teams were Macon, Centralia and Mexico. Mexico placed third overall in the varsity contest and second in junior varsity.
"Both squads learned more and more about their strengths and weaknesses yesterday and we are looking foward to a slow week with warmer temperatures for range time," stated MHS Coach John Knipfel.
Team scores were: Hannibal 148, Macon 170, Mexico 180 and Centralia 185. Varsity scores included: Brock Lunceford 47, Alex Bledsoe 43, Vincent Perll, 47, Austin Kelsay 44 and Jordan McNeil 47. The varsity's record is now 5-3.
Team scores for JV were: Hannibal 164, Mexico 198, Centralia 227, Macon, NS.
The JV team saw action for the second time with most members of the team improving their averages.
JV scores included: Brock Fuemmeler 48, Lucas Handlin 51, Brandon Oligschlaeger 51, Jared Melton 50 and Harrison Kliensorge 49. JV's record is 4-1.
The next match will be at home on Thursday at Arthur Hills.
