Kenneth Eugene Peterson, the son of Marion Stanley and Ruby Olive (Woodley) Peterson, was born Jan. 7, 1940. He passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at his residence in Springfield, Mo. His age was 73 years 2 months and 22 days.
Kenneth was born in Spalding, Neb. and graduated from Ogallala High School in 1958. He lived in Mexico, Mo. for 30 years, residing in Springfield, Mo. for the last two years. He was owner of a restaurant in Mexico, Mo. He was of the Baptist faith.
Kenneth and Nadine Dilley were united in marriage on June 13, 1966. Together they were privileged to share 46 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Sharon Peterson and Janice Peterson; and granddaughter, Jessica Gish.
He is survived by his wife Nadine of the home; three sons, Larry Marble and wife Judy of Willard, Mo., Terry Marble and wife Sara of Mexico, Mo., and Ken Peterson, Jr. of Springfield, Mo.; daughter Julie Lampkins and husband Randy of Springfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Tia, Jason, Larry Lee, Chris, Angel, Tara, Mallory and Ryan; 10 great-grandchildren, Nick, Justice, Treyvean, Autumn, Haven, Jakob, Michelle, Harliegh, Blake and Cayden; two brothers, Gary Peterson of Madrid, Neb. and Marion Peterson, Jr. and wife Kathy of Big Springs, Neb.
Services were held on Wednesday, April 3, at 2 p.m. at Wilson Brim Daniel Chapel, Ash Grove, with Rev. Shannon Swearingin officiating with interment following in Clear Creek Cemetery, Springfield.
Friends called at 1 p.m. in the Ash Grove Chapel where the family received friends until time of service.
