Two Mexico residents arrested on drug charges
On Tuesday afternoon, the East Central Drug Task Force assisted by the Audrain County Sheriff's Office conducted a consent search of a residence in the 300 block of Maple Street in Mexico. As a result of the search, officers arrested two suspects, seized methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a semiautomatic pistol.
Arrested were: Tawnya Larae Anderson, 29, of Mexico for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Anderson's bond is set at $11,000 and Michael William Geers III, 30, of Mexico for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Geers' posted an $11,000 bond.
The East Central Drug Task Force was organized in 2001 and serves the cities of Bowling Green, Mexico, Montgomery City, and Vandalia, the counties of Audrain, Montgomery and Warren, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
