Wilma J. Moore, 78, of New Florence, Mo., passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at New Florence Nursing & Care Center.
Mrs. Moore was born in Montgomery City, Mo. on September 28, 1934, the daughter of the late Henry Lee and Tina Lou (Angel) Gibson.
Wilma was a 1952 graduate of Montgomery City High School. She worked as a waitress in Ohio and Missouri for over 40 years before retiring.
She was the widow of Berney James Moore. They were married April 25, 1953 in Hermann, Mo. Berney preceded her in death on September 30, 2005.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading and working on word puzzles. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved her extended family at New Florence Nursing & Care Center along with the actitivies and worship services there. Also, her extended family at the Dialysis Clinic, Inc. meant a lot to her.
Wilma is survived by her four daughters, Linda Pazzelli & husband Joe of New Florence, Mo., Cindy Troyer & husband Gary of Strasburg, Ohio, Carol Keeney & husband David of Houston, Mo. and Sally Jahnssen & husband Jim of New Florence, Mo., by eight grandchildren, by seven great-grandchildren, by three sisters-in-law Sandy Gibson of Buell, Mo., Winona "Tudie" Simpson & husband John of Montgomery City, Mo. and Charlene Strange of Laddonia, Mo.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother Gerald Gibson and two brothers-in-law Manuel "Bub" Moore and Raymond "Clyde" Moore.
Visitation will be Wednesday 10 to 11 a.m. at Baker-Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Florence, Mo., where funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., with David Keeney and Christopher Troyer officiating.
Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery, Big Spring, Mo.
