"Voter registration reinstatements are coming in at the Audrain County Clerk's office at the rate of 25 a day, Mrs. Walter Harrison, registrar of voters, said today. Mexicoans have until May 27 to get their registration in proper form. The registration books will close on that day until after the special election June 18 on the Mexico sewer bond issue. A list containing more than 1,700 names to be removed from the registration lists was published in The Ledger Saturday."

The meeting will be held in the Community Room at the Audrain County Courthouse. Stuart D. Miller, district chairman, will be in charge. Five delegates and two alternates from the district will be chosen to attend the national convention. Delegates and alternates who were selected at earlier mass meetings and county conventions will constitute the official roll of the district meeting, which is open to the public."

Those retiring include: J.R. Houchins, Ellen S. Wilson, Darriel E. Douglas, Barbara Green, Bucky Green, Charles J. Lind, Linda Rosendahl, Bryan Nickerson, Jo Ann Thomas, Karen Linnemeyer, Janice Douglas, Robin Turley, Terry Henage, Edward M. Larson, Priscilla Medley, Thomas E. Dudley, Sue Tyler Lucas, Susan A. Atkins and Judy Dye."
