Mexico Bulldogs baseball team traveled to Moberly Monday for a double-header and came home with two victories.
In the first game Moberly was home team in a close game. The Bulldogs won 5-3. Cody Creed took the mound, pitching 6 1/3 innings for the win. He struck out 11 and walked 2. Tyler Bracht earned the save pitching 2/3 innings and struck out 1.
At the plate Bracht was 3-4 with 2RBI, Creed and Matt Ridgway were 2-4 and Gavin Jones was 1-2.

Moberly: 3R, 9H, 3E, 6LOB.
In the nightcap Mexico was the home team. The Bulldogs came up with 14 hits leading them to a 10-4 victory. Moberly scored all their runs in the first inning.
Ridgway was the winning pitcher going 6 innings, striking out 4 and walked 2. Dale Test pitched the final inning, striking out 2.
At the plate Mexico had several players with multiple hits. Creed was 3-3 with 2RBI, Ridgway was 2-4 with 2RBI, Garrett Carroz was 2-3 with 3RBI, Frank Nickoley was 2-4 with 2RBI and Austyn Sampo was 3-4.
"Things are going well and we need to keep it going," stated MHS Coach Keith Louder.
Mexico is 14-7 overall and 7-5 in conference.
The Bulldogs return to action Thursday at Macon for the last regular game of the season.

Mexico High School Bulldogs baseball team begins District competition Saturday in Fulton.
The Bulldogs are seeded third in the tournament and will play their first game at 2:30 Saturday against Missouri Military Academy, the sixth seeded team.
Kirksville is seeded first, Boonville second, Moberly fourth, and Fulton, fifth.
