The windy cool day at Hawthorne Heights couldn't cool the hot streak for many Mexico High School track and field athletes. The boys will send eight Bulldogs in seven events to the sectional meet. The girls will be represented by seven athletes in nine events.
Mexico all-district athletes were led by three district champions, Jake Anderson (high jump), Christian McKeown (800), and Zori Holman (high jump). Although not placing in the top eight, Alison Mudd improved her 400 time from 1:07:4 to 1:07.2.
The top four in each event qualified for the sectional meet this Saturday at Hawthorne Heights. They also all earned all-district status.
The boys placed fourth out of 17 teams; and the girls placed third out of 17 teams.
