    "The new Masonic Lodge rooms were crowded Monday evening when the building was dedicated with the impressive ceremony of the body. Besides a large number from this city many from nearby towns assisted in the work as well as spoke, during the evening. All were delighted with the handsome lodge apartments and the excellent arrangement and decorations of the rooms."

    "Clyde F. Walker of Mexico was elected first vice president of the Missouri Association of High-Twelve Clubs, at the 18th annual state convention in Neosho Sunday. Other officers are Emil M. Jeceman, Clayton, president; J.Paul Stark, Neosho, second vice president; Dave Williams, Jefferson City, secretary; and James A. Crosby, Springfield, treasurer. Earl Precht is president of the Mexico club. Mr. and Mrs. Walker attended convention sessions Saturday and Sunday."

    "The purchase of Roger Williams Foods of Cumberland, R.I., by Wetterau Inc. is expected to have little effect on the Wetterau Food Distribution plant here, Division Manager Tom Neumyer said today. The Williams food company is one of southern New England's leading wholesale food suppliers. It is one of Rhode Island's largest privately held firms and is a wholesale supplier to about 350 supermarkets and other food stores, mostly in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut."

    "Nathan Taylor recently placed first individually at the 2003 District Academic Business Contest in computer knowledge held in Hannibal. The team, consisting of Taylor, Matt Dubbert, and Jay Hahn also placed first at the 2003 District Academic Business contest in computer knowledge. Taylor went on to the state competition in Jefferson City, where he placed third. He also recently received his Network+ certification. Taylor is a 2003 graduate of Community R-6, and his parents are Mike and Kathy Taylor of Rush Hill.
