Henry Louis Davis, Jr., age 80 of Mexico, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at his home.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation is Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home.
He was born on March 29, 1933 in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Henry Louis and Myrtle Mae (Boston) Davis Sr. On July 19, 1952 he married Dorothy Fetterhoff in Mexico. She survives at the home.
Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, loved to fish, hunt, and play ball. He loved his family and was a good father and husband, but most of all he loved his Lord and Savior. He worked as a machinist at A.P. Green's for 44 years and after retirement worked at the Krystal Klean Car Wash.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Randall Louis Davis and wife Debra of Mexico; two daughters, Dotty Lou Morgan and husband Steve of Sherman, TX, and Janelle Hoffman and husband Dale of Wichita, KS. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, quadruplets Amber, Amy and Amanda Morgan and Ashlee Lowry and her husband Cody, Matthew Davis and wife Lacey, Heather Lowry and husband Eric, Bradley Hoffman and wife Crystal and Benjamin Hoffman and wife Brittney; 10 great-grandchildren; four brothers and sister, Elmer Davis and Carol of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Everett Davis and Sandy of Hallsville, Charlotte Ussery and Wayne of Hallsville, and Kenny Davis and Cheryl of Plano, TX; and one sister-in-law, Martha Davis of Mexico.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Charles Davis.
Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene.
